Greetings Easton Citizen,
This is an ideas development project, run by Firstborn Creatives in partnership
with Knowle
West Media Centre and
Calling the Shots.
The theme of the project is "Passport to....", inspired by the 1949 Ealing comedy, 'Passport to Pimlico'. In this film the London borough of Pimlico is revealed to be an independent state, after an ancient document is discovered that proves it to be foreign territory.
We will be running workshops with groups in Easton, Bristol based on the central question:
"How would you like to see things if Easton
became an independent state?"
Come along to the first session at Easton Community
Centre on June 27th at 7.15pm, to find out how you can get involved. ALL AGES
ARE WELCOME!
We will be running 5 sessions with a number of groups before the summer holidays,
and then another 5 to be run before December with the same groups, after exchanging
ideas with Knowle West and Calling The Shots.
The project is to look for ways of working with the many voices and creative
people of Easton and Knowle West, to develop workable ideas into a mainstream
media production.
Join in the chat forum and give your opinions.
- What about education, jobs, faith and religion, crime

I used to live in easton some years back and it was an amazing place to live with a real community feel. What happened? I hardly reconise it for the place I left. Where is the community spirit? Is the community centre closed? I passed by an there was a sign on the door inviting people in to go on the internet for free but the door was securely locked, I knocked and rang the bell but nothing happened, but it was free I guess. Clean up the streets and park, what happened where are The Easton Cowboys and girls? Where is Bob from ECC? Is it true the community centre has been closed down by Christians? The things you hear!!!! Maybe easton has been left to be somewhat independent with no leadership. Take heed you Easton crew I know it is exausting but hold tight and fight the good fight before you have nothing worth fighting for. See you around I am off ack up North with it's lovely community feel and thriving community centre. | From: Slade | No matter how long you hum the tune North will never replace East. | From: sharon morgan | What you all going on about East West. Did you see there is a move afoot for Britain to self govern? I saw a bill board when I was waiting for a train to Temple Meads from Lawrence Hill wish I had taken down the www. now. Have a look and see if it is still there | From: Pen | We could catapult rotten fruit at any bailiffs coming to collect the council tax!... build a moat round Easton to keep the 'kings medieval tax collectors' out!
| From: Jenny | i think the community i great and i think that we need to talk about bonskey as i a doing a little debat on it should it stay or should it go please go | From: luke | easton is the worst place to live and all the highschool kids are cunts i cant wait till im 18 | From: marsh | SOFT | From: anzr |
